The National Republican Guard (GNR) announced that a man was arrested in the village of Monte da Caparica, in the municipality of Almada, Lisbon district, following a report regarding a vehicle theft.
“During the operation, it was determined that the suspect was subject to a European arrest warrant for committing sexual offenses,” according to the GNR.
The man was brought before the Lisbon Judicial Court, which ordered his transfer to a prison facility to await extradition.
