A 45-year-old man, wanted in Luxembourg for drug trafficking, was apprehended by the Porto Territorial Command of the Republican National Guard (GNR) through the Trofa Territorial Post last Friday, November 14, in the municipality of Trofa.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the officers reported that, during a random patrol and inspection operation, they identified a man who was discovered to have an outstanding international arrest warrant.
As a result, he was “immediately detained.”
The man was taken to the prison facility annexed to the Porto Judicial Police and will subsequently be handed over to Luxembourg judicial authorities.
