A criminal police unit announced the seizure of counterfeit items during a crime prevention operation targeting violations of industrial property rights, specifically related to the sale or concealment, counterfeiting, imitation, and illegal use of brands.
The 2,848 counterfeit items seized include footwear, glasses, handbags, and clothing, all carrying prestigious national and international brands.
Eight criminal cases have been initiated by the ASAE concerning the sale or concealment of counterfeit items, with the facts reported to the respective public prosecutor’s offices.
The inspection operation was carried out in collaboration with the Cantanhede GNR.
