The ASAE, through its Regional Unit of the South – Operational Unit Lisbon West, conducted an operation aimed at verifying the compliance of economic operators with legal obligations in the distribution and commercialization of biocidal products in the national market.
The operation, named ‘Clean,’ resulted in the seizure of 8,938 units of products, valued at a total of 7,875 euros. The police authority stated that a legal process for an administrative offense was initiated due to irregularities in the labeling of biocidal products, in violation of European Union regulations.
ASAE also indicated that it will continue conducting inspections, within its competencies, throughout the national territory, to promote fair competition among economic operators and safeguard public health for consumers.
