Until December 2, donations starting from five euros can be made via Zero’s website, which corresponds to the planting of a native tree or shrub in the National Forest of Leiria, one of the areas most affected by the 2017 fires.
Donations can be personalized with a special message in a digital card to offer to the baby.
“In a year when the tragedy of the fires affected us all, and inspired by traditions from various countries where a tree is planted for each birth, this Zero campaign symbolically links the growth of a child to the rebirth of nature,” states Zero’s announcement.
The planting resulting from the campaign will take place between November/December of this year and January 2026.
