Trash collection in Lisbon will face disruptions on Thursday night and Friday due to a strike by urban hygiene workers, the Lisbon City Council announced today in a statement.
The routine waste collection will be impacted by the strike scheduled for October 23 and 24, organized by the Sindicato dos Trabalhadores do Município de Lisboa (STML) and the Sindicato Nacional dos Trabalhadores da Administração Local e Regional (STAL).
The statement noted that “Lisbon’s Urban Hygiene will make every effort to minimize the impact on the city.”
