Seven districts are under a yellow warning today due to the persistence of high maximum temperature values, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

Bragança, Évora, Guarda, Vila Real, Beja, Castelo Branco, and Portalegre are under warning from the start of today until 18:00 on Tuesday.

The yellow warning, the least severe, is issued by the IPMA when there is a risk for certain activities dependent on the weather situation.

Today, the IPMA forecasts slightly cloudy or clear skies, a small decrease in the minimum temperature in the interior regions, and a slight increase in the maximum temperature.

The wind will be light to moderate, up to 30 kilometers per hour (km/h), occasionally blowing strong (up to 40 km/h) on the west coast and in the highlands.

Castelo Branco and Évora will be the hottest cities, with maximums of 38 degrees Celsius.
