E-Redes has scheduled maintenance work on the distribution network for Sunday, December 14, causing temporary power outages in several areas. Check the list.
“Temporary and short-duration interruptions occur when all available power alternatives are exhausted, ensuring the impact on customers is minimized,” reads E-Redes’ website.
The company advises that “for safety reasons, and in case of early restoration of electricity supply or the need for technical trials, all installations should be considered permanently live.”
“Scheduled maintenance work on the distribution network is conducted under Articles 72 and 75 of the Electricity and Gas Sector Commercial Relations Regulation,” it adds.
E-Redes further mentions that, according to the CEER (Council of European Energy Regulators), the company is considered a European benchmark for carrying out scheduled interventions with minimal supply impact.
The E-Redes clarified that the “scheduled cuts” in electricity due to distribution network work are “regular” maintenance situations.
“It is nothing out of the normal context,” said an E-Redes representative, adding, “this type of work happens every Sunday.”
The locations of “scheduled cuts” due to “maintenance work” are always communicated in advance on the company’s website.
