These two islands also face a yellow warning for wind, initially from the west, rotating to the south until 6:00 AM on Sunday. Additionally, a marine agitation warning is in place, with southeast waves shifting to the northwest, from 3:00 PM on Sunday until 9:00 AM on Tuesday.
In the central group of the Azores, comprising Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico, and Faial, a yellow warning for occasional heavy rainfall is active between midnight and 3:00 PM on Sunday.
An additional yellow warning for wind from the south, veering to the southwest, is issued for the period between 3:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Sunday. A marine agitation warning is also announced, with southwest waves transitioning to the west, from 9:00 PM on Sunday until midnight on Tuesday.
The eastern group, which includes São Miguel and Santa Maria, is under a yellow warning for occasional heavy rainfall, effective from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Sunday.
For these two islands, although there is no yellow wind warning, a marine agitation warning is in action, with southwest waves shifting to the west between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Monday.
The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) states that the yellow warning, the least severe on a scale of three, is issued whenever there is a risk situation for specific activities dependent on the weather conditions.
