A baby was born inside an ambulance of the Alvalade Volunteer Firefighters in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém on Tuesday morning.
The woman was at the health center “when she went into labor and was placed in an ambulance to be transported to Beja Hospital,” stated a post by the Peace Soldiers on the social media platform, Facebook.
The baby was delivered at 11:25 a.m., with assistance from a doctor and a nurse from the Alvalade Health Center.
Subsequently, the mother and daughter were transported to the Maternity Unit of Beja Hospital.
