
“I love music, love what I do, love getting together with passionate people and doing what I enjoy most,” said the artist of the album ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos,’ expressing gratitude to his family and everyone who contributed and worked on this album.
“There are many, and I carry them all in my heart, and I am grateful because I believe this album would not have been the same without the contribution of each of these people who put a piece of their soul and feeling into this work,” he added during the ceremony in Las Vegas, before dedicating one of the awards “to all the children and young people of Latin America and especially Puerto Rico.”
“Never stop dreaming and never stop being yourselves,” mentioned Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, who took to the stage five times to receive awards for Album of the Year, Best Urban Song, Best Urban Music Album, Best Urban Performance, and Best Reggaeton Performance.
Bad Bunny will perform in Portugal on May 26 and 27, 2026, at Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, concerts that are part of an international tour dedicated to that album.
The Argentine duo Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso took home awards for Best Short Form Music Video, Best Long Form Music Video, Best Alternative Song, Best Alternative Music Album, and Best Pop Song.
Fado singer Camané was nominated with the album “Ao vivo no CCB — Homenagem a José Mário Branco,” in the category of Best Portuguese Language Roots Album, a prize that went to the project “Dominguinho” by Brazilian artists João Gomes, Mestrinho, and Jota.pê.
Camané had previously been nominated for the Latin Grammy in 2020, alongside pianist Mário Laginha, with the album “Aqui está-se sossegado,” drawing from the fado repertoire.
Portuguese musician Janeiro, making his debut in Latin Grammy nominations, was a contender for the award of Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese Language with the album “Fugacidade,” but the award went to Brazilian Liniker with “Caju.”
Liniker, who in 2022 became the first transgender woman to win a Latin Grammy, also won this year in the categories of Best Urban Performance in Portuguese Language and Best Portuguese Language Song.
Liniker is set to perform on October 10 at the Meo Arena in Lisbon and the following day at Pavilhão Rosa Mota in Porto.
From Brazil, highlights include Chitãozinho & Xororó, who won Best Sertaneja Music Album with “José & Durval,” and Luedji Luna, who won Best Brazilian Popular Music/Brazilian Afro Portuguese Music Album with “Um Mar Pra Cada Um.”
In this 26th edition of the Latin music awards, Colombian artist Karol G stood out with the award for Song of the Year with “Si antes te hubiera conocido,” alongside Uruguayan Jorge Drexler and Argentine band Conociendo Rusia, who received the award for Best Pop/Rock Song with their collaborative work “Desastres fabulosos.”
Spanish music made a strong presence with several notable artists, including Alejandro Sanz, who surprised by winning the award for Record of the Year with “Palmeras en el jardín”—a category in which Bad Bunny was the favorite—along with the Latin Grammy for Best Contemporary Pop Album.
