The Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny is setting new sales records globally with his upcoming ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour’, which will begin later this year in stadiums. Overall, the artist has sold over 2.6 million tickets for 54 concerts in 18 countries across four continents, with additional dates pending announcement in the Dominican Republic and Japan.
In Portugal alone, according to promoter Live Nation, Bad Bunny broke two records: the highest number of tickets sold by a Latino artist in the country and the first to sell out two stadiums.
With two concerts scheduled at Estádio da Luz, the singer sold approximately 130,000 tickets in the country within 24 hours.
However, Bad Bunny shattered records in many other countries worldwide.
In Colombia, for example, he achieved the “largest ever ticket waiting line” and “three stadiums sold out in less than 24 hours.” In Costa Rica, he registered the “fastest sold-out shows in the country’s history.”
In Spain, the Puerto Rican artist broke records from Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’, selling over 600,000 tickets for 12 stadium dates—ten in Madrid and two in Barcelona—setting an “all-time record for a single tour,” with more than “2.5 million people in the pre-sale queue.”
The album that gives the tour its name returned to the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart this week, marking its fourth week at the top.
The Bad Bunny concerts in Portugal are scheduled for May 26 and 27 next year in Lisbon. In Spain, the performances will occur on May 22 and 23 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, and on May 30 and 31, and June 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, and 15 in Madrid.
These performances are part of the artist’s first European tour in seven years. The tour’s debut concert will be on May 22 in Barcelona.
