The early hours today were not comparable to those from Thursday to Friday, which saw heavy rainfall and numerous floods across the Porto district. The most critical event occurred at the Via de Cintura Interna (VCI), where an elderly woman had to be rescued, and traffic circulation was temporarily suspended in the Bessa and AEP roundabout tunnels and at Campo Alegre.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts a gradual improvement in weather conditions. In the North, the sky is expected to be very cloudy with some clear spells starting in the morning along the coast and in the afternoon inland.
Due to the rain, the districts of Bragança, Porto, and Vila Real remain under a yellow weather warning.
