Rainfall persisting for several hours is causing damage in various districts of Portugal.
In Fernão Ferro, located in the Seixal municipality, flooding occurred this Tuesday, December 9, similar to the last storm that hit the mainland.
The National Road 378 (EN378) had to be closed in certain sections.
Many people are taking to social media to report this recurrent situation, which poses a risk to citizens, especially drivers using this route.
It should be recalled that last November, a couple lost their lives in Fernão Ferro. Heavy rains flooded the ground floor of their home while they were asleep.

The man and woman, both aged 88, were found deceased inside their home in Fernão Ferro, in the Setúbal district. Their bodies were discovered lifeless.

Almost all of mainland Portugal is currently under a yellow warning, with the exceptions of the Guarda and Bragança districts. This time, the cause is the Bram depression, which brings not only rain but also wind and waves reaching 5.5 meters.
