
The Bank of Portugal issued a warning today regarding the entities “Vantex Finance,” “BVF Banco Vantex Financial,” and “Vantex Financial,” stating that they are not authorized to engage in credit lending activities in Portugal.
In a statement released today, the Bank of Portugal clarified that, in addition to credit lending, these entities are not permitted to conduct any other financial activities that require supervision by the Bank of Portugal.
The central bank of Portugal reminds that the list of entities authorized to extend credit can be checked on the Bank of Portugal’s website.
The Bank of Portugal emphasizes that “credit lending activities, outlined in paragraph b) of number 1 of Article 4 of the General Regime of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies, approved by Decree-Law No. 298/92, of December 31, are reserved for entities legally authorized for this purpose, as provided in Article 10 of the referred legal framework.”
