A fan, who is prohibited from attending sports venues, was intercepted by the Public Security Police (PSP) last Saturday, November 30, at Estádio do Dragão in Porto, for violating the restriction order.
In a statement sent to newsrooms, the PSP explained that “the individual’s presence was detected during the match between FC Porto and Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia”, which took place last weekend.
The fan in question is “prohibited from attending sports venues following the use of pyrotechnic devices in April 2022, during the match between FC Porto and Sporting, which was part of the second leg of the 2021/2022 Portuguese Cup semi-finals”.
The individual, who disregarded the restriction order, “has committed the crime of disobedience” which, according to article 348 of the Penal Code, is “punishable by imprisonment of up to one year or a fine of up to 120 days”.
The PSP also noted that “with this incident, the number of fans intercepted since the beginning of the current sports season for non-compliance with access restriction measures to sports venues rises to nine”.

Penalties set by the Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation require FC Porto to pay over 13,000 euros due to inappropriate behavior by fans… and the Estádio do Dragão speaker.
