The coordinator of the BE, Mariana Mortágua, announced today that her party will present a motion to reject the Government Program, arguing that the measures transfer wealth from those who work to large economic interests.
“Not only can we not go along with this program, but we’re going to table a motion to reject a program that has a vision of the country that we can’t go along with,” announced Mariana Mortágua, speaking to journalists in Parliament.
The BE coordinator argued that this is “a right-wing program that wants to govern for a few and wants to concentrate the country’s resources in the hands of a few”.
On March 13, the PCP announced that it was going to table a motion to reject the document, but it is certain to be defeated without the votes of the PS.
