The festival is scheduled for May 16, 17, and 18 at the Municipal Aerodrome of Castelo Branco.
The Beiras Airshow organization indicated today that this edition promises to elevate the level of the air spectacle in Portugal, bringing together some of the biggest names in world aerobatics, alongside a strong corporate and business networking component.
Among the event’s major attractions are the Yakstars, one of the most impressive acrobatic teams today, known for their synchronized maneuvers and astonishing formation flights, explained the organization.
The festival also features several elite pilots, renowned internationally and winners of multiple awards, such as the world aerobatic champion Castor Fantoba, Luca Bertossio, an acrobatic glider pilot and world champion, and Mélanie Astles, the first woman to compete in the Red Bull Air Race and a multi-award-winning pilot.
The Beiras Airshow also offers a Wingwalking show featuring Spanish acrobat Ainhoa Sánchez defying gravity atop an in-flight airplane.
Besides these pilot exhibitions, Beiras Airshow 2025 focuses on a diverse program with a strong corporate and aeronautical innovation component, featuring a space dedicated to executive aviation and innovation where new partnerships and businesses can be established.
It also includes static aircraft displays and the Castelo Branco Fashion Parade, merging the tradition of embroidery with aviation.
During the festival, a Mass will be celebrated in honor of Our Lady of Loreto, a symbolic moment dedicated to the patron saint of aviators.
Beiras Airshow is an annual air festival held at the Municipal Aerodrome of Castelo Branco, celebrating aviation and aeronautics in the Beira Interior region.
This event stands out for offering the public impressive air shows, aircraft exhibitions, and various activities related to the aeronautical sector.
With ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) indicator LPCB, the Municipal Aerodrome of Castelo Branco is located within airspace class G (GOLF).
In addition to the freedom this classification grants, it possesses features enabling visual meteorological conditions for flights operated under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) almost every day of the year, one of this aeronautical infrastructure’s greatest qualities.
Located five kilometers from the center of Castelo Branco, it features an asphalt runway measuring 1,460 meters in length and 30 meters in width.
The Aerodrome is surrounded by an ATZ, an airspace of defined dimensions established around an aerodrome for traffic protection.
