Benfica won the women’s roller field hockey Portuguese Cup for the 10th time in a row today, beating Tojal 3-2 in the final, a result that already existed at half-time, in a match played in Sesimbra.

Sofia Moncóvio (eight minutes), Raquel Santos (nine) and Cata Flores (17) scored the goals for Paulo Almeida’s side, while Maca Ramos (19), from the penalty spot, and Ana Gregório (24) reduced the deficit for the losers.

The ‘Incarnadas’, who had already won their 11th title in a row as national champions, strengthened their lead at the top of the ranking, with 10 trophies, against seven for CD Nortecoope.
