The British musician Benjamin Clementine will open the CoolJazz festival on Friday, which will take place throughout this month in Cascais and features a lineup that includes Ezra Collective, Tindersticks, Slow J, Seal, Masego, and Gilsons, among others.

At the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo and Parque Marechal Carmona, “everything is ready” for the four concerts that occur each night of the festival, spread across the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth fm stage, the Palco Ageas, and the Late Nights, according to the festival director, Karla Campos.

The festival’s main stage will host Benjamin Clementine and Rita Vian on Friday. On the second night, July 12, Seal and Margarida Campelo will perform, followed by Ezra Collective and Jordan Rakei on July 15, Gilsons and Jota.Pê on July 17, Slow J and Silly on July 23, Tindersticks and Ganso on July 26, and Masego and Amaura on July 31.

The Cascais Jazz Sessions stage will present seven Portuguese jazz projects: Plasticine (Friday), Beatriz Nunes (July 12), BERLIM (July 15), Isabel Rato Quinteto (July 17), BOKOR (July 23), Quarteto de Areia (July 26), and Razy (July 31).

The Late Nights will feature Mafalda Nunes (Friday), Groove Armanda (July 12), Luís Oliveira (July 15), Rita Lig (July 17), Allexia (July 23), Rui Maia (July 26), and Peter Castro (July 31).

Each of the seven festival nights begins with the Cascais Jazz Sessions, continues with an opening act and the headliner, and concludes with the Late Nights.

The venue opens at 19:00 and includes a dining and bar area.

The Ageas CoolJazz festival also offers a free program, the Cascais Lazy Sundays, held on Sundays. This year, the venue changes from the gardens of Casa das Histórias Paula Rego to Jardim da Parada, located in front of the festival venue entrance, offering “greater capacity to accommodate the audience.”

Performing at the Cascais Lazy Sundays will be Ana Moreira (Sunday), Catarina Moreira & Friends (July 13), Leonor Caldeira & Manuel Cardoso (July 20), and Diogo Beja (July 27).

Ticket prices for CoolJazz 2025 vary depending on the day, ranging from 25 to 70 euros.
