Any suspected cases of bird flu infection should be reported to the DGAV.
Transmission of the virus to humans is rare, with sporadic cases reported worldwide. However, when it occurs, the infection can lead to severe clinical symptoms.
The DGAV is a central service of the state’s direct administration, with administrative autonomy.
