“The ANA continues to coordinate with various entities to ensure that baggage delivery is concluded under the best conditions. We have strengthened passenger support and information teams for this purpose,” announced the airport management company in a statement.
The ANA reported that operations at the airports are proceeding normally following the power outage that affected Portugal and Spain on Monday, with ground handling companies delivering passengers’ luggage since Tuesday.
Ruben Simas from the National Union of Civil Aviation Workers (Sintac) noted that the information he has is that the service is being restored “as much as possible.”
On Tuesday, Lisbon Airport announced that it was implementing a plan for handling luggage due to the high influx at the check-in counters, stating that passengers would begin to be contacted by the airlines.
ANA noted a large influx at the airline counters for rescheduling flights canceled on Monday and at the handling services for baggage delivery.
