According to the Maritime Police, the body was removed from the reservoir on the Douro River at 9:30 PM in an “advanced state of decomposition” and was transported to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Porto.
Members of the Maritime Police and the Crestuma Fire Department were present at the scene.
