An Air India plane carrying 244 passengers on a flight to London crashed today near Ahmedabad in western India. The news was reported by the Indian news agency Press Trust of India (PTI).
Flight AI171, operating the Ahmedabad-London Gatwick route, was involved in the incident on June 12, 2025, according to the airline as stated by PTI.
The Boeing 787 crashed in a location close to Ahmedabad airport shortly after takeoff, police reported.
There are fears of casualties, but there has been no confirmation yet.
