
Compared to the previous elections held last year, the political party Livre has increased its percentage share in this municipality, achieving 7.68% and 25,156 votes in 2024, according to provisional official results from the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI).
Excluding Porto, where Livre obtained 7.24% of the votes, all 10 municipalities where the party achieved better percentage results are located in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML).
Oeiras ranks second with 8.34%, followed by Almada and Porto (both at 7.24%), Alcochete (6.83%), Amadora (6.34%), Cascais (6.24%), Mafra (6.22%), Vila Franca de Xira (6.11%), and Palmela (6.07%).
The lowest percentage for Livre occurred in the municipality of Boticas, in the district of Vila Real, with 0.42% and 15 votes.
The largest positive percentage point change for Livre was in Condeixa-a-Nova, Coimbra, with an increase of +2.25pp.
The AD coalition (PSD/CDS-PP) won the legislative elections on Sunday, securing 89 seats, while PS and Chega tied with 58 elected representatives each.
The IL continues as the fourth political force, gaining one more deputy (nine) compared to 2024, and Livre ranks fifth, increasing from four to six elected members.
CDU (PCP/PEV) lost one seat, having three parliamentarians, while BE is reduced to one representative, similar to PAN, which retained one deputy.

These results do not yet include voters residing abroad, whose participation and choices will be revealed on May 28.
