A Brazilian citizen was arrested over the weekend after presenting a fake Portuguese driving license in Lugo, Spain.
The arrest followed a traffic check during which the man identified himself with a Portuguese driving license. Authorities detected “signs of forgery” in the document, which were confirmed upon further examination.
The suspect was charged with forging a public document and driving without a legal license, as he did not possess a valid driving license.
The owner of the motorcycle the man was riding is also under investigation as a co-author “in the road safety crime committed by the driver.”
