The Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP reported that a suspect was arrested at 11:00 p.m. after leaving his partner’s residence, having forced entry in her absence. The incident occurred while the victim was filing a domestic violence complaint at the Casa Pilar of the Cascais Police Division in Lisbon District.
The woman was alerted by a neighbor that her door had been broken into. PSP officers responded to the scene and intercepted the man, who neither possessed the keys nor had permission to access the residence. He allegedly broke the door with the clear intention of instilling fear and distress.
The Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP further stated that the detainee was presented to the judicial authority and was subjected to the most severe preventive measure, pre-trial detention.
