
In a recent development, the Public Security Police (PSP) announced the arrest of a 52-year-old man in Porto for the crime of burglary at a commercial establishment involving a break-in.
According to the statement, police received an alert regarding a burglary inside a bakery. Officers were dispatched immediately and observed the suspect exiting the establishment and attempting to flee.
The man was promptly apprehended with a bag containing nine cheeses valued at 187 euros.
The security force noted that at the time of interception, the suspect had sustained some cuts on his head from broken glass at the scene.
The detained individual, unemployed and residing in Viana do Castelo, was brought before the competent judicial authority and has been remanded in custody pending further proceedings.
