The candidate pledged to “exert all efforts in the pursuit of a better future for Vizela and its inhabitants.”
In the Vizela municipality, the incumbent Socialist candidate Vítor Hugo Salgado has already announced his bid for a third term.
In the 2021 local elections, Chega secured 1.81% of the votes in Vizela.
The Socialist Party (PS) holds six seats in the executive, while the Social Democratic Party (PSD) has one councilor.
The date for the local elections has not yet been set, but by law, they are scheduled to occur between September and October.
