
One week ahead of the parliamentary elections, a record number of 333,347 registered voters in the national territory are eligible to cast their votes today across the country.
In the ongoing campaign, PSD leader Luís Montenegro will start his day with a lunch rally in Cantanhede, Coimbra District, and will proceed to Viseu for another rally at 4:30 PM. In the evening, the social-democrat leader will appear on the television show “Isto é Gozar com Quem Trabalha,” broadcasting live from the SIC studios in Oeiras.
Besides the AD coalition, which combines PSD and CDS-PP, other parties also have events scheduled in the Lisbon district.
The IL party will host a rally in the capital with Rui Rocha and Mariana Leitão addressing the crowd at 4:00 PM. Earlier, at 11:00 AM, the liberal group will visit an agricultural site in Santarém.
The BE’s campaign trail will also lead to Lisbon, where they will hold an event titled “Mudar de Vida é uma Festa” at 4:00 PM.
PCP’s Secretary-General Paulo Raimundo begins his day with a public session called “Cumprir direitos com acesso à mobilidade” near the Sul and Sueste ferry station at Terreiro do Paço in Lisbon. Later, at 3:30 PM, a CDU rally is scheduled at the Carlos Lopes Pavilion.
The spokesperson for Livre will start the day with a visit to the former Lusalite factory in Cruz Quebrada, Oeiras, and then at 11:00 AM will visit the surrounding area of Quinta dos Ingleses in Carcavelos. Rui Tavares will conclude his day in the capital with a street campaign at Parque das Nações at 3:00 PM.
In the north, the PS Secretary-General will start his day at the Angeiras Market in Matosinhos, Porto district, followed by a lunch event at the Municipal Pavilion in Vila Nova de Gaia, also in Porto district. Pedro Nuno Santos’ schedule includes a rally in Braga at 7:00 PM.
The PAN’s campaign will also reach Porto district, beginning with a visit to the Vila do Conde Market, followed by a stop at the Póvoa de Varzim Volunteer Firefighters. Inês de Sousa Real has scheduled an event at 3:00 PM at Casa da Música in Porto and will attend the Flower Festival in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Braga district.
Chega’s President André Ventura is starting his day in the north, with a lunch in Castelo Branco before moving to Elvas, Portalegre district, for a street rally and a dinner event.
A total of 21 political entities are contesting these snap elections, including AD (PSD/CDS-PP), PS, Chega, IL, BE, CDU (PCP/PEV), Livre, PAN, among others, with some parties running in specific or both autonomous regions.
