
A one-year-old baby was airlifted to Lisbon on Saturday after suffering severe burns caused by boiling water in Campo Maior, Portalegre.
The female child was taken to the Hospital Dona Estefânia, as confirmed by local authorities from the Alto Alentejo Emergency and Civil Protection Sub-regional Command.
The emergency call was recorded at 11:10 am, and the transport occurred around 2:00 pm.
A source from the Campo Maior fire department informed Lusa that the baby was in serious condition and was first taken to the Hospital Santa Maria before being transferred to Dona Estefânia in Lisbon.
