The regional maritime authority’s warnings are based on forecasts from the Portuguese Sea and Atmosphere Institute (IPMA).
“Despite the cancellation of the warning, boat owners and operators are advised to take all necessary precautions to ensure navigability conditions,” stated the captaincy.
It also indicates that “conditions” should be ensured for navigation in areas more exposed to waves and attention to safety conditions for recreational fishing, especially near cliffs and rocky areas.
