“With a profound sense of responsibility and commitment, I announce my candidacy for the Municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha in the upcoming municipal elections of 2025, under the CDS-PP banner,” Carlos Coelho declared on social media.
José Carlos Estrela Coelho, a 51-year-old businessman, has previously chaired the Parish Council of Branca. Announcements have also been made for the candidacies of Sara Quinta from the PSD and Firmino Mendes from the PS for the municipal president’s position.
The CDS candidate expresses a “strong will to address people’s everyday problems, improve quality of life across all parishes, and actively support the community in their initiatives.”
“I believe in an Albergaria that is even more efficient in addressing the needs of its population,” Coelho writes, advocating for “the continuation of recent growth trends, promoting even better conditions for young people to build their future.”
Carlos Coelho states that his decision to run is “driven by the desire to serve the population and the municipality.”
“This is a significant challenge, in which I count on everyone’s support, confident in the working and achievement capabilities I have demonstrated throughout my professional, associative, and municipal career,” he concludes.
