The Socialist Party leader will be accompanied by Eurico Brilhante Dias, the head of the PS parliamentary group, during a two-day visit to Angola’s capital.
“This visit aims to engage with the Portuguese community – citizens and businesses – residing in this Lusophone country, especially as recent changes to Nationality and Foreigners Laws have raised concerns among some PALOP partners,” stated the official note.
The initiative seeks to provide clarity, support the Portuguese community, and strengthen cooperation with local institutions.
On the first day, Tuesday, a meeting with João Lourenço, President of Angola, in his capacity as MPLA leader, is scheduled.
Meetings with local authorities and visits to Portuguese companies in Angola are also planned.
The agenda includes a visit to the Consulate General of Portugal in Luanda, meetings with the Teixeira Duarte group and Mota Engil, and visits to the Maxi Supermercado Maianga and Angonabeiro.
A dinner with business entities and members of the Portuguese Diaspora Council, hosted by the Portuguese Ambassador in Luanda, is also planned.
