“Dr. Marques Mendes and Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Republic, at the PSD Summer University, gave a stern rebuke to the Prime Minister and the AD Government,” stated José Luís Carneiro in Almodôvar, Beja district.
The socialist leader linked this reprimand “to the fact that the AD has aligned itself with Chega,” referring to potential agreements between the PSD/CDS-PP coalition and André Ventura’s party.
“And what they both said, one a presidential candidate and the other the President of the Republic, was that this jeopardizes the founding values of the PPD,” he added.
José Luís Carneiro addressed journalists upon arriving in this Alentejo town, a stop on the ‘For cohesion and territorial appreciation’ route, being traveled along the Estrada Nacional 2 (EN2).
