Carris has reinforced the early morning network and access to the center of Lisbon from Portela in order to “provide a service that is ever closer and more adjusted to customers’ needs”, the company announced today.

Thus, in the early morning network, six routes started making one more trip from Cais do Sodré at 02:00, namely the 201, 202, 206, 207, 208 and 210, the road passenger transport company said in a statement.

“Departing from the reverse terminal, four of these routes also guarantee another journey with the following timetables: 202 – 01:18, in Bairro Padre Cruz; 206 – 01:11, in Odivelas; 207 – 01:15, in Fetais and 208 – 01:00, in Oriente Station,” added Carris.

On the other hand, accessibility between Portela and Lisbon’s central areas has been strengthened, “with some routes having been extended and changes made to routes 722, 731 and 783”.

With this change, route 722 is renamed Restauradores – Portela (it is extended from Praça de Londres to Restauradores and from Portela to Rua Mouzinho Albuquerque), route 731 is renamed Av. José Malhoa – Portela (it ends in Portela instead of Moscavide) and route 783 is renamed Amoreiras – Prior Velho (it ends in Prior Velho, no longer going to Portela), the company explained.

Carris also clarified that, with this latest change, the RALIS – Portela section is eliminated and will now be covered by routes 722 and 731.
