Portugal will not be immune to the impacts of international conflicts or the fluctuations in the American tariff regime, acknowledged Manuel Castro Almeida during a debate on the program of the XXV Constitutional Government.
However, the minister, who took over the Economy portfolio in the new administration, argued that these challenges should not serve as an “excuse for inaction” or lead to paralysis in the face of uncertainty.
“We must fulfill our obligations using the resources available to support businesses. The greater the difficulties, the stronger our determination must be to overcome them. Our unequivocal commitment is to achieve sustained growth above the European average, progressing towards convergence,” he affirmed.
