“After announcing the premiere of the new show at Olympia in Paris, Sílvia Pérez Cruz confirms her stop in Lisbon, on June 5 and 6, at Teatro Tivoli BBVA,” the promoter stated in a communication released today.
Tickets for the concerts, priced between 25 and 50 euros, are already on sale.
In the show coming to Lisbon, set to premiere in Paris on March 8, Sílvia Pérez Cruz will be accompanied by musicians Carlos Montfort, Marta Roma, and Bori Albero.
“Sílvia has new original songs to share, with familiar sounds and new horizons, new forms. Since she knew she would sing at the long-dreamed Olympia, her imagination has not stopped generating sounds and images until conceiving this new journey, which began to take shape in 2023,” the promoter mentions in the statement.
Sílvia Pérez Cruz was in Portugal this year, as part of the tour of a project with Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral.
Sílvia&Salvador, a project that debuted live in April in Japan, released as an album in May, was presented in Braga, Lisbon, and Porto.
The Catalan singer is one of the guests on Rosalía’s latest album, “Lux,” released in November.
Last year, she released “Lentamente,” an album recorded with Argentine guitarist Juan Falú, which was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards.
Born in 1983 in Palafrugell, Catalonia, Sílvia Pérez Cruz studied solfège, piano, and saxophone between the ages of four and eighteen.
She began singing at the tavern La Bella Lola in Calella, accompanied by her father, guitarist Càstor Pérez, and was part of funk, bossa nova, and jazz groups as a saxophonist, as well as the choir Nit de Juny, with which she traveled to Italy, Hungary, France, and Norway.
From 2001 to 2011, she explored various styles, from flamenco to jazz, pop, Catalan traditional music, and Iberian and South American folklore.
In 2012, she debuted as a composer with the album “11 de Novembre.”
