At 20:53, CP announced in a statement that train services were suspended between Algés (Oeiras) and Cais do Sodré (Lisbon).
“We apologize for the inconvenience and will update the information whenever possible,” it read.
Algés is the reference stop for the Alive festival, which is being held until Saturday in Oeiras.
A source from the Fire Department confirmed the incident, adding that resources were dispatched to assist people in leaving a train that had stopped outside the station.
