A 42-year-old man has been formally charged with theft inside a vehicle in Lagos, with the National Republican Guard (GNR) successfully recovering various stolen items.
In a statement sent to newsrooms on Saturday, the Faro Territorial Command explained that following a report of theft in the municipality of Lagos, they undertook “police actions that allowed the identification and location of the suspect.”
During the operation, “a personal security search of the suspect and a summary search of the vehicle were conducted,” resulting in the seizure of two laptops, four wallets, a pair of headphones, a ring, various clothing and footwear items, as well as the victim’s documents and bank cards.
The suspect has been charged, and the case has been referred to the Lagos Court.
The operation was supported by personnel from the Lagos Territorial Post.
