Miguel Almeida spoke on the final day of the 34th APDC congress held at Culturgest in Lisbon, with the theme ‘Business & Science Working Together’.
When asked whether the operator needs more spectrum, the executive was clear: “We do not need more spectrum. What we need is predictability regarding that spectrum,” he emphasized.
Currently, “what will condition our investment at this moment” relates to the unpredictability concerning the spectrum for 2027, when it must be renewed.
“What I can say and guarantee is that NOS will not invest another euro in the mobile network,” he asserted.
The executive explained that “any investment in the mobile network does not have time to pay itself off within this time frame,” he concluded.
