Chanel Tapper has maintained her Guinness World Record title since 2010 for having the longest tongue among women, measuring almost 9.7 centimeters. At 34 years of age, Tapper showcases her extraordinary talent in a video shared on the Guinness World Records YouTube channel.
Within the video, highlighted above, Tapper performs various tricks with her unusually long tongue and reflects on the reactions she receives from people. “Honestly, the best reaction is when someone screams upon seeing my tongue. I actually enjoy it when people scream or express shock, or are horrified at times,” she shared in a statement to the organization.
“That’s probably my favorite reaction, because I find it amusing. It’s a dramatic reaction,” she explained.
Tapper further elaborated on the humorous aspect of her tongue, noting its ability to perform unconventional tasks like playing Jenga, flipping plastic cups, and even holding a spoon.
“What I love most about being a record holder is the opportunity to travel and meet other record holders,” she revealed.
