New questions are posed in the collective creation by musician Filipe Raposo, illustrator Ana Ventura, and actor and director Marco Paiva, such as “When we decide to change, what happens inside us? And around us?” according to a synopsis from CCB about the show.
“Can a language transform a body? And how many languages do we need to create a new place?” are other questions to be discussed in a show about “journeys,” both “outward and inward,” in an “adventure made of questions, sounds, colors, and encounters,” it adds.
Comprising a performance and conversation, ‘Mudar’ is a show aimed at young audiences and families, dedicated “to all people who have the courage to change.”
Described as “an ode to the world we desire: a world open to the pleasure of curiosity, discovery, and courage,” it highlights.
‘Mudar’ is running until October 25 at the Pequeno Auditório of CCB.
Shows for schools are scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11:00, with an extra session on Thursday at 14:30, and for families and the general public on Fridays at 20:00 and Saturdays at 17:00.
With an approximate duration of 40 minutes, followed by a conversation, the show will feature interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language and subtitles in Portuguese.
Performers include Filipe Raposo, Vasco Seromenho, and percussionist Elisabeth Davis.
The video art for the show is by Mário Melo Costa, who also designed the stage alongside Filipe Raposo, Ana Ventura, and Marco Paiva.
The costumes are by Ana Ventura, the music by Filipe Raposo, and the lighting design by Nuno Samora.
The show is produced by Terra Amarela, in co-production with CCB/Fábrica das Artes, Teatro Viriato, and Casa das Artes de Vila Nova de Famalicão.
