A suspect was detained on Wednesday by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit (NIC) of the GNR in Vilar Formoso in connection with an investigation into a bank card abuse crime.
“The Guard’s officers conducted inquiries that led to the execution of four search warrants, one in a residence, two in vehicles, and one in an abandoned house in the municipality of Sabugal,” announced the GNR Territorial Command of Guarda in a statement to the Lusa agency.
During the operation, several appliances, printer ink cartridges, and a global positioning system, commonly known as GPS, were recovered and seized. These items were “purchased through the unauthorized use of a bank card, amounting to more than three thousand euros.”
The suspect was officially named a defendant, and the details were communicated to the Judicial Court of Guarda.
The operation was supported by the Territorial Post of Vilar Formoso.
