The charred body of a man was discovered on Thursday in a residence in Felgueiras, located in the Porto district, with the Judiciary Police (PJ) currently on the scene.
This information was confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto by a representative of the National Republican Guard (GNR), who were also called to the dwelling.
According to the representative, “no fire” occurred at the site, leading to the presumption that this may “be a homicide”. Investigations were still ongoing around 11 p.m.
Notícias ao Minuto is attempting to contact the PJ to understand the circumstances under which the body was found.
The alert regarding the situation was raised around 6 p.m., with Correio da Manhã reporting that it was the family members who notified authorities. The victim was reportedly 64 years old and the body was found in an annex to the residence, which was believed to be the man’s home.
