
Miguel Corte-Real, an influential figure in Porto, is recognized for his extensive experience in management, having over 15 years in consultancy, technology, and creative industries. He holds leadership roles both locally and nationally within JSD and PSD, even presiding over various structures and participating in the National Council of the social-democrats.
He previously served as a municipal deputy and led the PSD municipal group in the Porto Municipal Assembly from 2021 to 2024. Corte-Real was the primary signatory of the “Portugal em Primeiro” manifesto, advocating for a stable right-wing government unconstrained by complex issues or red lines.
In today’s announcement by the party led by André Ventura, José Menezes will run for mayor in Anadia, Paulo Matos in Carrazeda de Ansiães, and Pedro Manuel Pinto in Alijó.
Further candidates for mayoral positions have been declared, including Manuel Campos in Vale de Cambra, Hugo Silva in Fundão, Flávio Costa in Ovar, Estêvão de Barros da Silva in Peso da Régua, Joaquim Ribeiro in Oliveira do Bairro, Eduardo Gonçalves in Caminha, Tiago Claúdio in Carregal do Sal, Carlos Miguel in Sátão, and Filipe Pires in Trancoso.
