A child sustained serious injuries on Friday following a traffic collision involving three light vehicles in Palmela.
The child was transported to the Hospital de Santa Maria in Lisbon, according to a source from the Setúbal Peninsula’s Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command.
The age of the victim has not been determined.
The same source also reported that four other individuals suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Hospital de Setúbal, Hospital de São José, and Hospital do Barreiro.
The alert for the incident was issued at 5:55 PM.
A total of 33 emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene, assisted by 16 vehicles, including teams from the Palmela Fire Department, Pinhal Novo Fire Department, Águas de Moura Fire Department, INEM, and the National Republican Guard (GNR).
