Traffic was successfully reinstated at 10:14 p.m., according to the Greater Lisbon Civil Protection Sub-regional Command.
Between noon and 8 p.m., approximately 120 incidents were reported in the municipalities of Loures and Odivelas, primarily involving flooding on public roads or in homes, with no injuries reported, stated a source from the sub-regional command.
Hugo Santos, the sub-regional commander of Greater Lisbon, previously informed that the heavy rainfall caused the Trancão River to overflow in the Flamenga area of Lisbon. This led to the closure of road traffic and necessitated the evacuation of some individuals from their vehicles.
