The Central Alentejo Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection reported that traffic on the road was halted at 3:13 PM in both directions between Mora and Pavia in the Évora district due to the accident.
Traffic resumed in both directions at around 7:30 PM, according to a GNR source.
The truck carrying oranges crashed around kilometer 75.5 of the EN251 near Monte da Tramagueira, with the alert issued at 2:49 PM, as detailed by the sub-regional command source.
A source from the Évora Territorial Command of the GNR informed that road traffic was stopped to remove the truck and cargo and to clear the road.
Emergency operations involved personnel and resources from the Mora firefighters, GNR, and Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP), totaling 10 personnel supported by four vehicles.
