
The Deputy of Operations of Civil Protection, Bruno Borges, stated on Monday that armed aerial patrols were increased the previous day and emphasized the importance of adhering to the alert situation issued by the government.
“From midnight today until 5:00 PM, we noted 77 incidents, involving 1,600 personnel, 440 land vehicles, and 90 aerial missions,” said Bruno Borges during the update on the wildfire situation.
He added: “It is important to highlight that 23 of these incidents started during the night. The northern region continues to be the most affected area, experiencing the highest number of ignitions both during the day and night.”
